It’s official! We’re a B Corp. It’s something we worked hard for, because B Corp certification is not something you simply get. But to us, being a B Corp is about more than a certification: it helps us keep a critical eye on the impact we make as a business on people, society and the planet.
In this blog, we explain what B Corp means, what we are working on at No Fairytales and the responsibility that comes with it.

How do we make an impact?
You may already know our vision: building a world together in which tasty, healthy food is the norm. Our B Corp certification is another step towards making that mission a reality.
Of course, that starts with our products, but our responsibility goes further. We also look at how we work with our employees and partners, how we can reduce our impact on the environment and how we can involve the people who eat our products in what we do.
For example, we launched our consumer panel so we can use feedback even more effectively to improve our products. And we continue to work on reducing our environmental impact.
We’re not perfect – and being a B Corp doesn’t mean you have to be. It does mean continuing to look for ways to do better.

What is B Corp certification?
B Corp certification shows that a company looks beyond financial performance and takes responsibility for its impact on people, the environment and society.
The certification is issued by the non-profit organisation B Lab. B Lab assesses companies across different areas of their business and encourages them to use business as a force for good.
For us, that means continuing to look critically at the choices we make and the impact those choices have.
Respect for human rights
Part of that responsibility is how we treat people. That is why No Fairytales commits to respecting internationally recognised human rights, both within our own organisation and in our business relationships.
In doing so, we respect and support the human rights and principles set out in:
- the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights;
- the International Bill of Human Rights, including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights;
- the International Labour Organization (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.
These principles guide the way we work together, make decisions and engage with people within and around our organisation.
“Our adventure has only just begun, and we can’t wait to make an even bigger impact together with you!”
The road to certification
We’re incredibly proud of our B Corp certification. The certification process was intensive, but above all, it was a valuable learning experience.
B Lab looks at different areas of a company and the impact it makes. During our first certification, areas including Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers were assessed in detail. Through an extensive questionnaire, documentation and supporting evidence, the process looks at where a company stands and where there is room for improvement.
We received support during this process from Els at From A to Green. But perhaps more importantly, achieving certification is not the finish line. Being a B Corp means continuing to develop and taking a critical look at the impact we make.
So our journey has only just begun.
Real food. No Fairytales.
